(Boise, ID) - Idaho Steelheads Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced a series of roster moves on Tuesday, including the addition of forward Ondrej (pronounced "Andre") Roman and defenseman Hubert (pronounced "Hue-Bear") Labrie from the Texas Stars.

Texas is Idaho's affiliate in the American Hockey League, the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America.

Roman, 22, is in his second professional season. As a rookie, the native of the Czech Republic had 22 points (8 goals, 14 assists) in 72 games with Texas after being selected in the 5th round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. Labrie, 21, is in his first professional season after spending four seasons with Gatineau of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. He had 48 points (10 goals, 38 assists) in 192 games in the QMJHL prior to turning pro.

Both players are under contract with the Dallas Stars organization. They are expected to make their ECHL debuts this weekend when Idaho travels to Bakersfield (October 28) and Stockton (October 29).

Also, defenseman Steve Oleksy has been loaned to the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL. It is Oleksy's second trip to the AHL after spending 17 games with the Lake Erie Monsters last season. In five games so far this season, Oleksy has one assist and 20 penalty minutes. It isn't the first time Idaho and Bridgeport have worked together - defenseman Dustin Friesen split last season between Idaho (ECHL) and Bridgeport (AHL).
