Darcy Campbell Called up to Springfield

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that defenseman Darcy Campbell has signed a Professional Tryout agreement with their American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Falcons.

Campbell has played in all three Express games this season, earning two assists, eight PIM, and a plus three rating. Last season, Campbell played 60 games with the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees where he scored 16 goals and 46 assists for 62 points.

Campbell has appeared in 110 games in the AHL, totaling 22 points (9g, 13a) and 89 PIM. The bulk of those games were with the Lake Erie Monsters; however the Airdire, Alberta native also played 28 games with the Syracuse Crunch. He played in one game for Chicago's NHL affiliate, the Columbus Blue Jackets, in 2006-07.

The Express are back in action on Friday, October 28, when the Kalamazoo Wings come to town. Enjoy $1 Beers and $1 Hot Dogs during the game! The weekend continues on Saturday, October 29, against the Toledo Walleye with a Halloween Costume Contest during the game. The puck will drop at 7:30 pm for both games.
