"La Nueva has proven their ability to reach a large audience and will continue to be a great partner of the club in our efforts on and off of the field in 2012."

"La Nueva WDCN 87.7 is very proud to be named for the third consecutive season, the official Hispanic radio station of D.C. United", said Walter Torrez II, President/CEO of Media One Communications. "Once again, the broadcasts will continue to be narrated by Oscar Burgos, a veteran sportscaster with over 25 years of experience in the market, along with Joel Navas and Milton Renderos. For the second consecutive season, La Nueva's three-man broadcast team will be led by long time Washington area Spanish-language media personality Oscar Burgos, who will serve as the lead play-by-play announcer. Burgos, a native of Guatemala, began his broadcasting career in 1985 with Radio Mundo WMDO 1540 AM and is the host and producer of a weekly radio show called "El Deportivo".
