COBI JONES TO BE ON FOX 11'S WEDESDAY'S CHILD SERIES IN JULY 26: Galaxy midfielder Cobi Jones will be a special guest on the Wednesday, July 26 segment of "Wednesday's Child" at 10:00 p.m. on FOX 11 10 O'clock News. Jones, who took time from his busy schedule, taught a few soccer skills to a young boy up for adoption on the main stadium soccer field at The Home Depot Center, and the "Wednesday's Child" Fox 11 crew was there to capture all the action.
Each Wednesday and Sunday night on FOX 11 10 O'clock News, FOX 11 profiles children looking for loving families to call their own in "Wednesday's Child." FOX 11 works closely with Los Angeles' Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in coordinating the "Wednesday's Child" stories, giving viewers a glimpse of each child's interests and dreams at some of their favorite places. There are hundreds of foster children available for adoption through the DCFS at any given time. These children are in need of the love and security that only a permanent family can provide. FOX 11 produces the "Wednesday's Child" stories with the support and sponsorship of the Freddie Mac Foundation, which has helped place children with adoptive homes since 1989.
