
Kyle Ruchim Joins Intimidators

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - The Kannapolis Intimidators, Class A Affiliate of the Chicago White Sox, have transferred outfielder Frank Califano to Extended Spring Training and received outfielder Kyle Ruchim from Extended Spring Training. Ruchim joined the White Sox organization as a free agent signee on May 5 of this year.
Ruchim, 23, started the season with the Schaumburg Bombers of the Independent Frontier League. After an impressive collegiate career with the Wildcats of Northwestern University, in which he was named the team's captain, Ruchim signed his first professional contract with Schaumberg in June of 2015. In 2015, the former Wildcat had a standout year at the plate for the Bombers batting .304, with three home runs, and 30 RBI.
The Intimidators open a 7-game home stand tonight at 7:05 p.m. against the Greenville Drive at Intimidators Stadium supported by Carolinas HealthCare System.
