Lone Star Brahmas News Release
FRISCO, TX - Lone Star Brahmas forward Kyle Patava was honored as the South Division Easton Star of the Week thanks to his two goal and four point performance against Amarillo.
"I thought Kyle did a lot of little things that added up to big things to be successful," head coach Dan Wildfong said. "He got to the dirty areas and obviously it worked out for him and we got two big wins out of it."
Patava now has a goal in his last three games played and five total points over that same stretch. The Norwalk, Iowa native's goals came at opportune times over the weekend. He scored the first goal of the game on Friday night to set the tone of the 4-1 victory and his power play tally on Saturday tied the game with 13 minutes to play in the third period. Patava's two assists came on both of Peter Kessel's goals.
The 6-foot-2, 205 pound forward is set to play NCAA Division I hockey for the United States Air Force Academy next season.
The Lone Star Brahmas travel to the beach to take on the Corpus Christi IceRays on Thursday morning, and Friday and Saturday night. You can watch the games live on FastHockey and please note that the Thursday game is a 10:45 A.M. CST puck drop. The weekend games will begin at 7:11 P.M.
