AMARILLO, TX - After two losses to the Lone Star Brahmas, the Amarillo Bulls are back at the Budweiser Bull Pen in the Amarillo Civic Center with a home stand on Saturday and Sunday against two different opponents, the Wichita Falls Wildcats and Odessa Jackalopes.
HERE IS A LOOK AT THE WEEK AHEAD:
RADIO SHOW HITS AIRWAVES TONIGHT: Insight, interesting interviews and much more. That's the Amarillo Bulls Radio Show that hits the airwaves tonight from 6 to 7 pm. Host Denis J. Puska is joined along side by Head Coach Matt Nicholson and Assistant Tony Attanucci. The player guests are both defensemen Tyler Hall and Matt Nehls. On the Radio Show tonight fans can participate in the General Manager survey game, picking their Ultimate six players but with Salary Cap considerations. BULLS AT HOME THIS WEEKEND:
SATURDAY, NOV. 21 VS WICHITA FALLS WILDCATS, 7 PM: The Amarillo Bulls kick-off a home stand against the Wichita Falls Wildcats at 7 pm. It's Men's Health Night Presented by The Panhandle Cancer Cure Foundation. The first 500 fans receive a blue Bulls T-shirt.
SUNDAY, NOV. 21 VS. ODESSA JACKALOPES, 7 PM: The first and only Sunday game of the season as the Bulls host the Jackalopes. The night is sponsored by 24 Hours In The Canyon, The High Plains Food Bank and Cumulus Media. Bring five non-perishable food items and get $5 off a Red Or Silver Ticket and Buy 1 Get 1 Free Hot Dogs.

BROADCAST OPTIONS: Fans can tune into both games live on CBS Sports Radio 1440, online at www.amarillobulls.com and on PPV with Fast Hockey beginning 20 minutes before the puck is dropped with the Wayland Baptist University Warm Up Show. Amarillo Bulls Hockey follows at 7 pm.
YOUTH HOCKEY NOTES: The Squirt Bulls (10U) travel team beat the undefeated first place Texas Warriors 4-3 in overtime. Gunnar Vick scored twice, while Wesley Betzen and Cutter Daniel had singles. Daniel scored the winner in Overtime. The Big Texan Bulls JV team won over La Cueva 4- 2 as Joaquin Garcia had 2 goals. The Big Texan Bulls High School varsity team stayed undefeated over the weekend, beating Santa Fe 7-0 on Friday night in front of 350 fans. Vincent Petrey fired three goals and set up another. Christian Cosper had the shutout stopping all 16 shots. The Bulls came back from being behind to beat La Cueva 5 to 3 on Saturday. The Big Texan Bulls are 3-0 to start the season, and are in first place in the New Mexico Interscholastic Ice Hockey League.
WEEKEND REWIND:
LONE STAR BRAHMAS 4 - AMARILLO BULLS 1: Forward Johan Lundgren scored in the second period as the Amarillo Bulls rallied from an early 2-0 deficit. However, the Brahmas scored two goals less than three minutes apart to put the game on ice. The Bulls did a great job defensively limiting the Brahmas to just 28 shots on goal.
LONE STAR BRAHMAS 4 - AMARILLO BULLS 3: After falling behind early 2-0, the Amarillo Bulls rallied with three straight. Goals came off the sticks of Tyler Hall, Matt Nehls and Nick Bohatiuk. The Brahmas tied the game on the power play and then scored the eventual winner in the final five minutes. Defenseman Jake Houston had two assists, while Tyler Hall, Matt Nehls, Zach Sarnowski, picked up single helpers. Anton Martinsson faced 38 shots in the contest.
