
Kyle Gajewski Named ADT CHL Goaltender Of The Week

Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Kyle Gajewski of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting a 2-0-0-0 record along with one shutout, a 0.50 goals against average and .983 save percentage in two games last week.
Gajewski started the week by stopping all 24 shots he faced in a 3-0 road win over the Sarnia Sting on Thursday. He was named first star of the game after posting his second shutout of the season. Gajewski made 35-saves and then stopped four of five shooters in a 2-1 shootout win over the Plymouth Whalers at Compuware Arena on Saturday. He was named second star of that game and racked up his league-leading 34th win of the season. The 20-year-old from London, ON, improved his season record to 34-13-1-3 to go along with a 2.42 goals against average and .913 save percentage in 52 games.
Tyson Sexsmith of the Vancouver Giants was the WHL nominee after going 2-0-0-1 with a 0.97 goals against average and .952 save percentage and Nicola Riopel of the Moncton Wildcats was the QMJHL nominee after posting a 2-0-0-1 record with a 1.93 goals against average and .941 save percentage.
