Hounds Fall To Brahmas 2-0

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, TEXAS - David Cacciola made 37 saves on 37 shots as the Texas Brahmas defeated the Youngstown SteelHounds 2-0 on Tuesday nothing. It is the first time that the Hounds have been shutout since March 17, 2006.

Kevin McLeod scored a power play goal at 1:57 of the first period to make it 1-0 after one period. Texas was 1-10 on the power play while Youngstown was 0-5.

Tyler Skworchinski scored at 3:05 of the second period to finish the scoring and give the Brahmas the 2-0 win.

Youngstown drops to 29-19-4 (62 points) and are now tied with the Mississippi RiverKings (30-19-2, 62 points) for fourth in the Northern Conference. The Brahmas (30-20-1, 61 points) remain one point back of the playoffs.

The Hounds finish the road trip 1-2-0 and return home to begin a three game series with the Wichita Thunder starting Friday at 7:05. All SteelHounds games are available on ESPN Radio 1240 and SteelHounds.com.
