Kyle Carroll selected for All-Star Final Vote

MOREHEAD CITY, N.C.- Marlins' shortstop Kyle Carroll has been selected as one of five CPL East players on the Fan Vote for the final All-Star spot.

Carroll is hitting .347 this season through 20 games, with an astounding .500 on base percentage, a home run and seven RBI. He is leading the team in walks (15) and is second on the team in runs (15).

In his last 54 plate appearances, Carroll has reached base safely in 32 of them (.592 on base percentage). During that stretch, he is hitting .436 with 15 walks, seven RBI, 15 runs, a home run, double and four stolen bases in four attempts.

The Coastal Plain League is the nation's hottest summer collegiate baseball league. Celebrating its 18th season in 2014, the CPL features 14 teams playing North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.
