CHICAGO - Dubuque Fighting Saints forward Connor Kurth has been named USHL Forward of the Week. The second-year forward out of Minnesota led all scorers in the USHL with six points (3 goals, 3 assists) in two wins over the Muskegon Lumberjacks.

Kurth, 18, is currently riding an eight-game point streak, which culminated in back-to-back three-point efforts in both wins against the Jacks this past weekend. His two goals and an assist helped power the Friday night win, 7-4, and he added a goal and two assists to cue the comeback win on Saturday night.

The Minnesota commit has 13 points, good for a tie for third-most in the league, eight goals on the season, which is good for a tie for second-most goals in the league, and 41 shots on goal, good for fourth-most in the USHL.

Kurth has scored 54 points in 62 games in his USHL career (23-31-54). His accolades earned him USHL All-Rookie Second Team honors last season, and his work and dedication in the classroom earned him the USHL Scholar-Athlete award, which is the mark for the best student in the USHL.

The Forward of the Week honor is the first of Kurth's career. He joins teammate Tristan Lemyre, who was named USHL Forward of the Week on October 5, as the two Fighting Saints to be given weekly honors by the league.
