Winnipeg Blue Bombers News Release

WINNIPEG, MB – The Winnipeg Blue Bombers beefed up their offensive line with the addition of import Kurt Sigler to the practice roster.

Sigler (6-4, 306, Eastern Washington '03, DOB: Aug. 24, 1980 in Chula Vista, CA) is a recent cut of the Buffalo Bills.

THE NFL YEARS – THE BUFFALO BILLS – 2004

Just out of college, Sigler signed with the Buffalo Bills right after the 2004 NFL Draft, Apr. 26, 2004. He attended the Bills training camp but was released.

He drew the attention of several scouts with his performance at the 2004 NFL Scouting Combine, held Feb. 18-24 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

THE COLLEGE YEARS – EASTERN WASHINGTON EAGLES

Sigler played his U.S. college football with the Eastern Washington Eagles. He twice won Big Sky Conference Second-Team All-Star honors for his football prowess. He also is a three-time Big Sky Conference Academic All-American.

Sigler had four offers to play in all-star games following his college career but he only chose two: the Blue-Gray Game and the Gridiron Classic All-Star Game.

Sigler was a rare six-year senior during his time with the Eagles. He missed two years of football activity because of season-ending injuries. After putting the hurts behind him, Sigler started 22 consecutive games to close out his college career.

THE HIGH-SCHOOL YEARS – COEUR D'ALENE

Sigler played his high-school football for Coeur d'Alene High School in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. As a senior he was an Honorable Mention All-State All-Star and his school's MVP.

He earned First-Team All-League All-Star honors in both his junior and senior years. He made the All-North Idaho All-Star squad as a senior.
