Kinston Indians News Release
Timmy on a Tear - Although Tim Fedroff was never put on the DL, the UNC Alum missed a week and a half due to a nagging hamstring injury in the middle of July. Since coming back on July 21st Fedroff has been on fire. Fedroff has hit safely in all but two of his 17 games since coming back. The K-Tribe outfielder also boasts eight multi hit games including two three hit games and a four hit outburst. Fedroff has brought his average up from .252 to .286 (now the sixth best in the CL), he also boasts a .383 obp, the third best in the Carolina League. Fedroff also has racked up a season high 12 game hit streak. T-Fed has a consecutive on-base streak off 31 games, the second longest streak this season in the Carolina League. Fedroff is hitting .319 during the streak which started on June 21st. Frederick's Caleb Joseph reached base safely for 32 straight games from May 27th - July 15th! The streak is the longest by a K-Triber since Stephen Head reached base safely in 37 straight games in 2006.
