North Carolina FC News Release

Cary, NC - North Carolina Courage forward Kristen Hamilton was voted the winner of the Julie Dolan Medal, the highest honor given by the Westfield W-League. Hamilton played on-loan for the Western Sydney Wanderers during the NWSL off-season in Australia's top-division women's soccer league.

The award recipient is decided by a panel comprised of a technical football expert or former W-League player, media representatives, and the match officials, as a collective. Hamilton received 13 points in the vote, followed by Casey Dumont and NC Courage teammate Lynn Williams who each received 11 points.

Hamilton also took home a share of the Golden Boot Award along with Morgan Andrews, Remy Siemsen, and Natasha Dowie. The forward scored a Western-Sydney Wanderers season-best 7 goals and had two assists.

Hamilton joins a list of talented footballers who have won the Julie Dolan Award. 2019 NWSL MVP Sam Kerr won the award in both the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons. Other NWSL players that have won the award in previous seasons include the Houston Dash's Christine Nairn and the Orlando Pride's Emily Van Egmond.
