San Antonio FC forward Luis Solignac started and played 90 minutes in the club's return to action on 7/19 at RGV. Solignac assisted the lone SAFC goal in the game, giving him two in two games for SAFC in 2020 after he also recorded an assist on 3/7 vs. Real Monarchs. With the two assists, Solignac joins former SAFC forward Cesar Elizondo as the only two SAFC players to record an assist in each of their first two games of a season. Elizondo turned the trick in 2017, while Solignac is the first to do it in his first two consecutive appearances for the club.

Young Player of the Year Still Reigns

San Antonio FC midfielder Cristian Parano made his first appearance of the season on Sunday at RGV. The reigning Young Player of the Year wasted no time, scoring in the third minute of the match in his season debut. The SWBC Man of the Match added two key passes and a 100.0 percent passing accuracy (22 of 22). Parano missed the opening match against Real Monarchs on 3/7 due to a lower body injury. The 20-year-old earned Young Player of the Year honors in 2019 after recording seven goals and six assists in 32 matches.
