
Komets deal Worlton to Roanoke

Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets announced today that skater Jeff Worlton has been traded to the Roanoke Valley Vipers for future considerations.
Worlton, 26, was in his 5th pro year and 2nd season with the Komets. Last year the right winger posted 2 goals and 4 points in 68 games while establishing a new Fort Wayne UHL record of 372 penalty minutes. This season Worlton appeared in 20 games registering no points and 83 penalty minutes with the Komets.
Komets host Otters Friday, Mechanics Sunday.....this weekend the Komets will be home for 2 games. Friday the Missouri River Otters, led by former Komet and head coach Kevin Kaminski, skate against the Komets at 8pm. Sunday, former Komet Brent Gretzky and the Motor City Mechanics travel to Fort Wayne for a 5pm faceoff against the Komets.
Friday's Komet home game against Missouri is scheduled to air on WOWO Radio AM 1190 and Sunday's match with Motor City is slated for ESPN Radio AM 1380. Both games will be webcast at www.komets.com KometCast with Bob Chase calling the action radio-rinkside in his 53rd consecutive season behind the Komet microphone. Fans can join Bob for the Sprint P.C.S. Pregame Show 15 minutes prior to the faceoff of each Komet game broadcast.
