Komet Nick Boucher IHL Goaltender Of The Month

Fort Wayne, IN - The IHL announced today that Nick Boucher has been named the Meijer IHL Goaltender of the Month for January, 2010.
Boucher, 29, appeared in six games posting a 3-1-0-0 record, allowing eight goals for a 1.71 goals-against average and stopping 163 of 171 shots for a.953 save percentage. The Leduc, Alberta native completed the month on a two-game win streak and has appeared in the last four straight games.
This is the first Goaltender of the Month award for Boucher this year after also collecting the Goaltender of the Week award for the week ending Nov. 1. Boucher, last year's IHL Goaltender of the Year, has been honored as the league's Goaltender of the Month four times and Goalie of the Week seven times since joining the Komets in 2007-08
2009-10 is his third straight season with the Komets after capturing back-to-back IHL Turner Cup Championships. Boucher appeared in his 100th Fort Wayne career game during the month on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at Port Huron.
Komets to play three in four nights this week......the Komets will host the Dayton Gems Wednesday at 7:30pm and remain home to host the Port Huron Icehawks Friday at 8pm at the Memorial Coliseum. Saturday the Komets travel to Quad City to face the Mallards at the i wireless Center in Moline, Illinois at 8pm.
Bob Chase calls the play-by-play radio rinkside and is webcast worldwide at www.komets.com at Comcast KometCast. On the local radio side, Wednesday's action is expected to air on ESPN AM 1380 while games Friday and Saturday this week are scheduled to be broadcast on WOWO AM 1190.
