BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Looking to snap a two-game losing streak, the Bloomington PrairieThunder takes on Flint at 7:05 p.m. Wednesday in an International Hockey League game at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The PrairieThunder stands in fourth place in the standings with a 19-17-2-4 record (44 points). Flint has 14-23-2-4 record (34 points). The Generals are 4-17-1-0 on the road, while Bloomington is 14-8-2-0 on home ice.
Flint enters the game on the heels of a 2-1 victory over Port Huron, while Bloomington looks to rebound from a 3-0 home loss to Quad City. The PrairieThunder has a 4-1 mark against Flint with three of the victories coming in Bloomington.
The PrairieThunder notched a 5-4 triumph over the Generals in Flint five days ago and a 6-2 win in Bloomington two weeks ago. Both games proved to be very physical.
In the game at Bloomington, the teams were involved in a line-brawl early in the third period. Flint retaliated in the following game on its home ice by signing three players for the specific reason of fighting. All three players were waived the day after the game.
