Kelowna Rockets president and general manager Bruce Hamilton announced today that the Rockets have added 20-year-old forward Kobe Mohr to the roster.

The Lloydminster, Alta. product will be departing the AJHL's Drumheller Dragons, where he had 11 points (6G, 5A) in eight games, to join the Rockets.

Mohr, a veteran of 248 career WHL regular-season games split between the Edmonton Oil Kings and Kamloops Blazers, played six games with the Blazers to open the 2019-20 campaign, registering one goal and two assists.

The Edmonton Oil Kings drafted Mohr 20th overall during the first round of 2014 Bantam Draft.

He's expected to suit up for the Rockets tonight against the Prince George Cougars.

Hamilton also announced today that forward Kyle Topping is scheduled to undergo surgery later this morning to repair a broken ankle. The 20-year-old suffered the injury Wednesday night in Victoria.

"Kyle's health is our biggest priority right now," said Hamilton. "We don't have a timeline for his return yet, our concern is his well being and his health."

Tickets for tonight's game against the Cougars are on sale at selectyourtickets.com, at the Prospera Place box office or by phone at 250-762-5050.
