
Knights Sink The Clippers

FORT MILL, S.C. - April 22, 2007 - Three Charlotte batters enjoyed a multi-hit game as the Knights beat the Columbus Clippers 3-2 before 4,107 sun-drenched fans at Knights Stadium.
Casey Rogowski, Wiki Gonzalez and Ernie Young, who hit his first home run of the season in the 6th inning, had two hits each for the Knights. Rogowski scored twice and had a double to finish the game.
Heath Phillips (2-1, 1.80 ERA) picked up his second win of the season. Phillips stuck out five while only giving up two hits. Jermaine Van Buren (0-1, 9.35 ERA) took the loss for the Clippers.
The Knights and Clippers split their brief two-game series. Charlotte begins a three-game home stand against Toledo on Monday. RHP Charlie Haeger (0-2, 7.56 ERA) will start for the Knights, while RHP Dennis Tankersley (2-1, 4.02 ERA) takes the mound for the Mud Hens game time is 7:15 p.m.
