Knights Can't Complete Comeback

FORT MILL, S.C. - The Charlotte Knights couldn't carry over the momentum from the previous game as they lost to the Durham Bulls 8-5 at Knights Stadium. The Knights were looking for their second straight win after defeating Durham on a walk-off home run the previous night.
Durham put some crooked numbers on the board puttting together a four run 4th inning. The Bulls led off the fourth with three straight singles, the third coming from Rocco Baldelli which scored Justin Ruggiano. Three batters later Devin Ashley, who was making his Triple-A debut, hit a home run to left field.
The Knights answered back in the bottom of the inning on a solo home run from Brent Morel. The Knights hit another home run in the 6th inning this one coming off the bat of Alejandro De Aza. Charlotte was able to tie the game later on a 2-RBI double from Jordan Danks.
Durham pulled ahead the next inning with a three run home run from Chris Richard off of Knights reliever Greg Aquino. The win was the Bulls 84th of the season, which set a new Durham Triple-A record.
The Knights and Bulls take their series to Durham tomorrow at 7:05 PM. The Bulls will start RHP Ramon Ortiz (2-4, 4.07 ERA) and the Knights will counter with RHP Kyle McCulloch (1-3, 6.27 ERA).
