
Knicks Fall to Blue Coats

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, suffered a 147-125 setback to the Delaware Blue Coats, Wednesday afternoon at Total Mortgage Arena.
New York Knicks Assignee, Miles McBride, flirted with a triple-double for Westchester (8-14) tallying 28 points on 61.5-percent, a near career-high eight rebounds and a game-high seven assists. Two-Way Player Duane Washington Jr. scored 21 points in his Knicks debut to go along with three three-pointers and four dimes. DaQuan Jeffries (Two-Way Player) registered 19 points in 16 minutes. Obadiah Noel (available player pool) ended with 16 points on 72.7-percent off the bench. Trevor Keels (assignment) added 15 points and seven rebounds.
For the Blue Coats (16-7) Mac McClung and Jaden Springer mirrored a game-high 31 points. McClung also notched five assists, five rebounds, and went 6-7 from downtown. Springer's point total came in double-double fashion with 10 boards. Charlie Brown Jr. put up 24 points on 66.7-percent.
The Knicks led the Blue Coats 38-26 in the first quarter and went up by as many as 18 points, their largest lead of the game, with 4:57 to go before the break, 61-43. Despite filling in their deficit by three, the visitors still trailed 15 at the half, 77-62.
Momentum favored the Blue Coats as the foe outscored the Knicks 43-18 in the third window, 105-95. Westchester picked up its offense again late but were unable to interrupt Delaware's rhythm.
The Knicks have a chance to avenge today's loss with another try Friday, March 3 at 7 PM ET against Delaware at Total Mortgage Arena.
