
Knicks Acquire Alan Griffin from Available Player Pool

TARRYTOWN, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, acquired Alan Griffin from the Available Player Pool as announced by the team Sunday morning.
Griffin, 6'5 190, entered the Available Player Pool on December 14 after being waived by the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He was acquired by the Vipers in a trade with the Santa Cruz Warriors prior to the start of the 2021-22 NBA G League season. For Rio Grande Valley, Griffin averaged 1.8 points and 1.5 rebounds in four games played.
Griffin went undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft and later joined the Los Angeles Lakers at Summer League. The guard averaged 3.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in three games played.
The White Plains, NY native spent his first two college seasons at Illinois (2018-20) before transferring to Syracuse (2020-21) for his junior year. He averaged 8.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists collegiately.
Griffin will wear #8 with Westchester.
