Kinston Indians News Release
The homestand continues with a 1:30 pm Sunday start.
Top Tribe Hurlers - Kinston's starting pitching has been as good as any in the league. After Soto's seven inning shutout of Frederick on Saturday night, the K-Tribe has three starters in the top 8 spots in the league. Brett Brach owns the Carolina League's top ERA at 1.63. The 1.93 mark that Drew Pomeranz owns is fifth in the league and Soto ranks eighth with a 2.12 ERA.
Clutch Clubbers- The trio that has exceled in the most pressure cooker situations this season might surprise. With runners on and two outs, Roberto Perez, Casey Frawley and Bo Greenwell have all come up big. Frawley has hit .313 in 16 at bats with a man at least at second and two outs. Perez has had one fewer opportunity (15 AB) and has hit .333 in such situations. Though Greenwell has only had nine at bats, his scoring position/2 outs average sits at .333 as well.
