The rain has stayed away and Kinston is ready to play game two of a seven game homestand Saturday night against Frederick!
Hammerin' Holt - Kinston outfielder Tyler Holt has found his offensive stride of late. Over the last five games Holt has hit .471 with 8 hits in 17 at bats. Holt is currently on a 14 game consecutive on base streak, tying Adam Abraham for Kinston's longest of the season. Holt could tie Peter Hissey of Salem's 15 game streak tonight. Salem's Reynaldo Rodriguez leads the CL with a 21 gamer this season. He is batting .323 in May and has boosted his average from .246 to .297 over the last 15 games. A 2011 OBP of .405 has Holt placed second in the Carolina League, one point behind Salem's Reynaldo Rodriguez. Holt is the only K-Triber hitting over .231 in the last week.
