Kinston and Frederick Meet In Rubber Game

The K-Tribe goes for their fifth consecutive series win in today's rubber game in Frederick at 2 pm. Right-hander Marty Popham will make his Carolina League debut for Kinston after being called up from Lake County on Friday. Notes attached.

Tables Turned- Kinston's season-long 5-game winning streak was snapped by Frederick on Saturday night in a 2-1 loss. Following an unearned run by the K-Tribe in the top of the third, the Keys' Jacob Julius had an RBI double in the bottom of the third and a solo homer in the eighth to stop Kinston's streak. After Frederick was 1-for-13 with RISP and stranded 12 runners on Friday night, the Indians were 1-for-13 with RISP and left a season-high 15 runners on base on Saturday.

Streak Stats -The K-Tribe outscored their opponents 50-26 while winning a season-high 8 out of their last 9 games prior to Saturday night's loss.
