
Kingston Frontenacs Partner with the Cobourg Cougars

Kingston, Ontario. - The Kingston Frontenacs are proud to announce that the Cobourg Cougars are the new partners of our franchise beginning with the 2020-21 season. The Cobourg Cougars are a junior ice hockey team from Cobourg, Ontario. The Cougars are a part of the Ontario Junior Hockey League, which is associated with the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
"We look forward to this new venture with the Cobourg Cougars," Frontenacs GM Darren Keily said Wednesday. "The two organizations will work closely to ensure our goals are one in the same and continue to work on developing a strong relationship."
The Cobourg Cougars finished the 2019-20 season with a record of 21-27-2-1, which gave them 48 points in 54 games played. The organization last won a National Championship during the 2017 season. The Cougars play their home games at the Cobourg Community Centre.
"I look forward to working closely with Darren Keily and the rest of the Frontenacs staff this season," said Cobourg Cougars Director of Hockey Ops Bob Breckles. "Kingston has drafted very well over the past few years and we look forward to working with their prospects and developing them into impactful hockey players for the Fronts. Our objective for this partnership with Kingston is to benefit the Cougars by giving our coaches access to the Fronts staff, as well as development and advancement opportunities for our players."
