Kingston Frontenacs Lead OHL in Attendance Increase

Kingston-Apparently the Kingston Frontenacs combination of seasoned veterans and young guns aren't the only hot thing on Friday nights. With the release of the attendance figures from across the OHL, a ticket to a Kingston Frontenacs game can is right up there. Through the end of November, Kingston Frontenacs attendance is up 24.7% over last season, with attendance to home games at the K-Rock Centre averaging 3,129 compared to 2,509 over 2011-12. The next highest increase in the OHL was seen by the Plymouth Whalers, whose attendance increased 18.5% over last season. In 2012-13, the Whalers are averaging 2,647 in attendance per game. The Kitchener Rangers rounded out the top three with an attendance increase of 13.4% over last season.

"We've worked really hard with our partners in marketing the Kingston Frontenacs brand, but nothing sells hockey better than an exciting and winning team," said Justin Chenier, Executive Director of Business Operations for the Kingston Frontenacs. "Our team is exciting to watch and combined with the full package of entertainment we offer from the minute fans arrive at the K-Rock Centre until the buzzer sounds to end the game, this is excitement for families, friends, business contacts, and hockey fans."

The Kingston Frontenacs are in action before the holiday break with Girls on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the K-Rock Centre. Seats are available at the Box Office.
