Kalamazoo Kings News Release
All Star John Brownell lived up to his all star status by pitching eight innings and only allowing one earned run on three hits. The deep and balanced Kings offense continued its tear of late by scoring in six of the eight innings and the lineup saw seven of the nine starters pick up RBI's. Kings batters helped their OBP by taking 7 HBP.
The Kings have won six of their past eight games and clinched the first half's best record, allowing coaches Fran Riordan and Joe Thomas to coach the East All Stars in the All Star Game July 16th.
