
Kings Recall David Van der Gulik from Manchester

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Kings have recalled forward David Van der Gulik from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
This is Van der Gulik's first re-call of the season. The 5-10, 187-pound native of Abbotsford, British Columbia has played in 5 games for the Monarchs this season, recording two points (2-02), two penalty minutes and plus-2 rating. His two goals rank tied for second on the team.
The 31-year-old has played in 48 career NHL games with Colorado and Calgary, scoring 13 points (2-1113), 10 penalty minutes and a plus-8 rating.
Van der Gulik was selected by the Calgary Flames in the seventh round (206th overall) in the 2002 NHL Draft.
The Kings continue a five-game road trip tonight in Pittsburgh, with game time from the CONSOL Energy Center slated for 4 p.m. (PDT). The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports West and TalkRadio 790 KABC.
