LANSING, Mich. - The Clinton LumberKings (12-18, 42-56) held off the Lansing Lugnuts (14-16, 46-52) for a 2-1 win in the rubber match of a three-game set on Monday afternoon at Cooley Law School Stadium.

Clinton pitching held Lansing to just four hits and four walks on the afternoon.

The LumberKings broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth inning on a sacrifice fly by first baseman Justin Seager against reliever Brady Dragmire (Loss, 3-6).

A two-out single by shortstop Dawel Lugo put the potential tying run on base in the ninth for the Lugnuts, but Clinton reliever Paul Fry (Save, 2) struck out D.J. Davis to end the game.

Clinton reliever Rafael Pineda (Win, 4-4) entered in the seventh inning and worked a scoreless inning, allowing two hits.

Lansing's lone run came on an RBI triple by first baseman Justin Atkinson in the fifth inning, the first hit of the game against starting pitcher Blake Holovach.

Lansing starter Alonzo Gonzalez allowed one run on two hits in four innings with two walks and four strikeouts. Reliever Jimmy Cordero pitched three scoreless innings, surrendering three hits with a walk and two strikeouts.

Dragmire allowed one unearned run on three hits with a strikeout.
