Ottawa Lynx News Release
Lynx fans were treated to a pitchers duel between Rochester ace Kevin Slowey (8-2) and Lynx wins leader Matt Childers (5-1).
The Lynx opened the scoring in the bottom of the second inning when Pedro Swann singled home Dusty Wathan. That lead would hold until the sixth inning, when Rochester broke the goose egg by scoring a run off a wild pitch.
The Red Wings would take the lead in the top of the seventh but Ottawa came right back with a run in the bottom of the inning to tie things up again. Chris Roberson knotted the score when he brought Dusty Wathan home on a groundout.
The Sunday matinee matchup couldn't be resolved in nine innings so the two clubs went to a 10th inning where Brennan King singled home Chris Roberson to win the game for the home Lynx.
