Elmira Jackals News Release

The Elmira Jackals announced on Wednesday that forward Kevin King has been assigned to the club by its AHL affiliate, the Syracuse Crunch. The Jackals travel to Reading to take on the Royals tonight at 7:05 p.m.

King collected his first professional point on Saturday, an assist, in Elmira's 3-2 overtime win over Reading at First Arena. He is scoreless in five games with the Crunch in 2011-2012.

In 2010-2011, King was second on the club with 76 points (33g-43a) while serving as an alternate captain for Kootenay. King compiled 95 goals and 132 assists for 227 points in 335 career games with the Ice.

The Jackals also announced on Wednesday that they have added Nick Niedert to their roster as their emergency backup goaltender.
