Idaho Announces Series of Roster Moves

(Boise, ID) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Hardy Sauter announced a series of roster moves for the ECHL's Idaho Steelheads Wednesday, the day before the team heads on the road for two games against the Pacific Division-leading Las Vegas Wranglers.

The moves:

* Announced D Steve Oleksy has been loaned by Idaho to Bridgeport of the American Hockey League for the second time this season.

* Placed F Aaron Lewadniuk on the 3-day injured list.

* Signed F Patrick Kennedy, who may make his Steelhead debut Friday night.

Kennedy is a 6-foot-3 rookie out of Cornell, where he was a teammate of former Steelhead Evan Barlow, Ottawa Senators forward Colin Greening and former NHL 1st-round draft choice Riley Nash. He totaled 17 goals over four seasons at Cornell and made his pro debut earlier this season, skating in one game for the ECHL's Trenton Titans.

This is Oleksy's third trip to the highest level of minor-league hockey in North America. He spent 17 games with Lake Erie last season and played three with Bridgeport earlier this season.

Idaho remains on the road this week, playing at Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday night. Idaho's next home game is Wednesday, December 7, against the Colorado Eagles at CenturyLink Arena in Boise.
