IN JUST A FEW HOURS...

The Elmira Jackals kick off a stretch of four games in five days when they travel to Reading to battle the Royals at 7:05 p.m. The Jackals overcame a two-goal deficit on Saturday night at First Arena against the Royals, defeating Reading in overtime 3-2.

RADJA RALLIES JACKALS

With the Jackals trailing by two goals on Saturday, Mike Radja brought Elmira back into the contest. The fourth-year pro from Yorkville, Ill. fired a puck into an empty net off of a blocked shot in the second period to make it 2-1, and then buried a one-timer set up by Dustin Gazley with 6:37 to go in regulation to force OT. Radja now has points in four-straight games, his longest point streak of 2011-2012 (3g-4a). His 12 shots on Saturday were the most by a Jackal this season.

SCOUTING THE ROYALS

Reading is attmpting to snap out of a season-long five-game winless streak, as the Royals have not won since Nov. 13 when they defeated the Jackals at the Sovereign Center, 6-2. Yannick Tifu, who served as Elmira's captain at the end of last season and collected 43 goals and 86 assists for 129 points from 2009-2011 with the Jackals, was acquired by Reading from Chicago on Monday. He is expected to make his Royals debut tonight.
