Richmond Kickers News Release

RICHMOND, VA - (Friday, July 10, 2015) - The Richmond Kickers (6-3-8, 26 points) conclude a three-game road stand when they travel to Saint Louis FC (4-5-6, 18 points) on Saturday, July 11. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m., broadcast live from St. Louis Park on YouTube.com/RichmondKickers.

The Kickers travel to Saint Louis on the heels of a tough 3-0 loss in Louisville last week. Conceding an early goal, the Kickers carried a narrow deficit into the break but could not recover from a pair of second half tallies and dropped all three points on the road.

Their previous two matches were abandoned following the 45th minute due to inclement weather. Violent thunderstorms over City Stadium terminated the Kickers' match against the Wilmington Hammerheads before weather once again forced an early exit in Charlotte one week later. Both games ended in scoreless draws, handing the Kickers' their 8th and 9th shutouts of the season, through all competitions.

Meanwhile, Saint Louis FC earned a last-gasp victory in Charlotte when Kingsley Bryce scored in the 89th minute to lift the USL newcomers to their third road victory of the season. The visiting side took an early lead when Parker Maher scored in the sixth minute, but gave up the equalizer in the second half. Both teams pushed for a late winner, but it was Saint Louis that found it as the Chicago Fire loanee athletically volleyed home a rebound.

Saturday's match marks the first time the Kickers will meet the USL expansion side, closing out the two-game series in Richmond on Saturday, August 22. Following this weekend's road trip, the Kickers return to City Stadium to host West Bromwich Albion of the English Premier League on Sunday, July 19. Tickets are on sale now at RichmondKickers.com.
