Kickers Host USA vs Portual Outdoor Viewing Party June 22

RICHMOND, VA - (Wednesday, June 11, 2014) - The Richmond Kickers, in conjunction with Sports Backers, Venture Richmond and the American Outlaws Richmond, are pleased to announce that they will host an official viewing party for the USA versus Portugal 2014 FIFA World Cup(tm) game on Sunday, June 22. Featuring the largest outdoor high-definition LED screen in RVA, live music from The Southern Belles, food trucks and draft beer trucks, including the Kickers official craft beer, Kick It Hunny, the official viewing party will take place in downtown Richmond at 1 West Grace, at the intersection of West Grace and Foushee Street, 11:30 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and is free of charge.

"We invite the entire Richmond community to celebrate the world's greatest sporting event," commented Hunter Leemon, Richmond Kickers Director of Sales. "We hope this viewing party will bring soccer fans together from all over the region to rally behind the U.S. Men's National Team and create an authentic World Cup atmosphere right here in downtown RVA."

Following the global tradition of outdoor viewing parties, the all-day festival will show three live games on ABC and ESPN, including Belgium versus Russia and Korea Republic versus Algeria before the featured match, USA versus Portugal, as the only official FIFA-approved outdoor viewing event in Richmond. Admission is free of charge and open to fans of all ages with merchandise, food and frosty beverages available for purchase from local vendors including Carytown Burgers & Fries, Papa John's, Loveland Distributing and Strictly Soccer.
