Kevin Burleson Named NBA G League Coach of the Month

EDINBURG, Texas - The NBA G League announced today that Rio Grande Valley Vipers Head Coach Kevin Burleson has been named the NBA G League Coach of the Month for the month of January.
He led the Vipers to a 9-2 record which allowed the team to secure the league's best winning percentage and team record. In the month of January, the Vipers averaged 120.1 points, 50.6 rebounds, 28.5 assists, 15.0 steals and 7.8 blocks in 11 games.
Burleson becomes the first Vipers head coach to win the award in back-to-back seasons. The last time he was selected to receive this accolade was in March of 2023. This marks the sixth Coach of the Month award for the Vipers.
The Vipers will be back in action tomorrow, Feb. 3 at the Paramount Fine Foods Centre for a matchup against Raptors 905 at 1:00 p.m. CST. The game may be viewed on www.NBAGLeague.com. For more information visit www.rgvipers.com.
