Swarm to Host HBCU Night on Febuary 2nd

The Greensboro Swarm, the NBA G League affiliate of the Charlotte Hornets, will host HBCU Night presented by Hudson Automotive tonight February 2 as the team compete against the Windy City Bulls (Chicago Bulls affiliate) at the Novant Health Fieldhouse starting at 7 p.m. ET.

The annual HBCU Night will feature a special theme jersey design, influenced by Arial Robinson, an alumna of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Robinson's jerseys will be worn by all players in game and fans will have the opportunity to participate in a jersey auction with proceeds benefitting a local HBCU through the Charlotte Hornets Foundation.

"For the third consecutive year, we are excited to celebrate historically black colleges and universities on this special night. This continues to be an important platform for our organization, especially with the rich tradition and the large number of accredited HBCUs in North Carolina", said Steve Swetoha, Swarm President. "We are proud to help recognize and promote these schools, students, and alumni,"

There will be various in-game activations from local HBCU organizations from Bennett College, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and Livingstone College.
