Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids lineup was quieted in a 2-1 loss to the Beloit Sky Carp on Saturday evening. Beloit plated their lone two runs on a two-run home run in the second.
Jon Olsen was the first man out of the Cedar Rapids pen', striking out four over 1.2 scoreless innings of one-hit ball.
Cedar Rapids got on the board in the fourth as Aaron Sabato walked with one away and later scored from second on a Morales RBI single ripped through the left side.
Tyler Palm took over in the sixth, retiring each of the six men he faced with a pair of strikeouts. Hunter McMahon covered the final two frames, putting away six of seven and striking out one.
Down to the Kernels' final strike with two down in the ninth, Will Holland doubled down the right field line then Mikey Perez was hit by a pitch to put the tying and winning runs on base.
