Ken Moore Named as Flame's Community Relations Manager

Saint John, NB - The Saint John Flames Hockey Club announced today the appointment of Ken Moore as the Club's Community Relations Manager.

Moore will be responsible for the planning and execution of all Flames community relations initiatives including the Club's successful school and minor hockey programs.

A native of Saint John, Moore brings with him over 30 years of business experience in Southern New Brunswick. During a 28-year career at NBTel / Aliant Telecom, he held a variety of positions in the public relations, advertising and marketing areas including the role of Information and Public Affairs Manager. Since retiring from NBTel / Aliant Telecom in 2000, Moore has been involved in a number of projects with the Flames and Harbour Station, including a significant role in the Flames successful season ticket drive of 2001 and the launch of Harbour Station's advertising marquee this spring.

"We are very fortunate to add someone with Ken's experience and character to our organization," stated Flames Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Stew MacDonald. "Our community relations programs are a cornerstone of our franchise and we believe Ken is the person to lead them to an even greater presence."

Moore will assume his new duties effective August 1, 2002.
