
Crunch Celebrity Softball Classic Set for August 7

Syracuse, NY (July 31, 2002) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will hold their fourth-ever Celebrity Softball Classic on Wednesday, August 7 at P&C Stadium, with all proceeds benefiting the Elmcrest Children's Center. Game time is set for 6:30 p.m.
Current and former Crunch stars J.F. Labbe, Darrel Scoville and Brent Sopel will be appearing on the Crunch's All-Star team, in an attempt to defend the Crunch's perfect record (3-0) against a team comprised of local media personalities.
The game is open to the public with a $1 admission charge. All proceeds will benefit the Elmcrest Children's Center. Through residential and community-based programs, Elmcrest Children's Center helps our communities troubled and neglected youth by meeting their behavioral and emotional needs. Tickets for the NHL Classic III, featuring the Columbus Blue Jackets and Buffalo Sabres, are currently on sale and are priced at $30 and $24. Children (12 and under) cost $24. Season ticket holders can purchase additional seats for $20 a seat. NHL Classic III tickets and season ticket packages are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444.
