
Kelowna defeats Red Deer

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Red Deer Rebels 8-1 on Friday night in Kelowna, winning its fifth straight Western Hockey League game and extending its home winning streak to six games.
Ryan Olsen, Cody Fowlie and Myles Bell scored two goals apiece for the Rockets, who outshot Red Deer 46-24 in the lopsided win.
Tyrell Goulbourne and Rourke Chartier added singles for Kelowna, who led 2-0 after the first period and 5-0 after the second en route to the win.
Jackson Whistle earned his third straight win in net and the Rockets improved to 12-6-1-1 on the season and 7-2-0-0 at Prospera Place.
Mathew Dumba scored the lone goal for the Rebels.
Kelowna won all four of its games at Prospera Place on the home-stand which ended Saturday, outscoring its opponents 19-3 during that span. The Rockets will hit the road next weekend for a pair of games in Tri-City.
Attendance in Kelowna was 5,487.
The Rockets next home action is Nov. 23 against Regina.
