South Carolina Stingrays News Release
**Tickets go on sale for Round 3 Saturday morning at 10 a.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum Box Office and through Ticketmaster. If Columbia wins tonight, the Stingrays will play at home on Sunday night and Tuesday night. If Texas wins tonight, the Stingrays will play at home on Wednesday night and Thursday night (if necessary).**
For those on the Pay for Play plan, the next home game will be ticket number 7!!
KEEP THE RED WAVE GOING!!!
Attention Stingray fans, the South Carolina Stingrays are seeking everyone's help in creating the RED WAVE. We are asking that fans wear red to the games to show your support as the team embarks on its journey to the Kelly Cup. Break out your red jerseys, t-shirts and hats and anything else you can find and let's create a menacing atmosphere for any team that comes to play the Stingrays at the North Charleston Coliseum!
For those fans that don't have anything red, the Stingrays will be offering a special Kelly Cup Playoffs t-shirt at the merchandise stand during the games for only $12.00. Anyone who would like to pick up one of these shirts before the game can call Todd Merton at 744-2248 x1212 to preorder your shirt.

Second Season Sub-plots
The South Carolina Stingrays are in "wait and see" mode as they will play the winner of tonight's Columbia vs. Texas game.
Travis Morin is the leading goal scorer for the South Carolina Stingrays in the playoffs with six. Marty Guerin leads the Rays in points in the playoffs with 9 (5 goals, 4 assists).
The first game of the next round will take place on Sunday either in Texas or at home against the Inferno.

The Rest on the Quest
The Columbia Inferno and Texas Wildcatters will meet up tonight in Texas in game five of their series. The winner of that series will play the Stingrays in round three.
In the Northern Division, the Reading Royals dealt the Cincinnati Cyclones their first loss of the playoffs. Reading now leads 1-0 in their best of seven game series.
The National Conference semifinals get underway tonight with Alaska taking on Las Vegas, and Utah taking on Victoria.

Marc Tardif, who spent five seasons with South Carolina, compiled a staggering 114 penalty minutes in 18 games during the 1997 postseason, and ranks 5th all-time in ECHL playoff history with 246 career penalty minutes.
