Kashirsky Recalled to Hershey

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays and Head Coach Cail MacLean announced today that forward Nikita Kashirsky has been called up to the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League.

Kashirsky, 25, skated in 12 games with the Stingrays netting five goals and six assists for 11 points. The Moscow, Russia native lit the lamp 19 times as a rookie for the Stingrays last season and accumulated 16 assists for 35 points in 39 games. The 6-foot, 180-pound forward also appeared in 25 games with the Springfield Falcons and Manitoba Moose of the AHL achieving six points (3g, 3a). Prior to turning pro, Kashirsky spent four seasons at Norwich University potting 144 points (73g, 71a) in 110 games. As a senior, Kashirsky led the team in goals (17), assists (17) and points (34) while appearing in all 25 games en route to All-ECAC East First Team honors for the second straight campaign.

The Stingrays open a three-game in three-night home weekend on Friday, November 19 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum. Bring the family out for 100.9 Way FM Family Friday. The two teams square off again on Saturday, November 20 at 7:05 p.m. for Epilepsy Awareness Night.
