(Boise, ID) - Head coach and director of hockey operations Hardy Sauter announced Thursday afternoon that rookie goaltender Tyler Beskorowany has been recalled by the American Hockey League's Texas Stars.

Beskorowany, 20, is among the ECHL leaders in games played (10), minutes played (582), total saves (303), goals-against average (2.27), and save percentage (.932). In those ten games, he has already posted two of the top ten single-game ECHL save totals for the Steelheads, stopping 44 shots at Alaska on October 22 and 43 shots on November 10 against Stockton.

The Hanmer, Ontario, native joins Texas in time for a three-game in three-night stretch this weekend. The Stars are in Oklahoma City Friday night, home against Milwaukee Saturday, and then at Houston on Sunday.

The move leaves Mike Zacharias as the lone contracted goaltender on Idaho's roster for Thursday night's game in Stockton against the Thunder (8 PM Mtn, 1350 KTIK).

Idaho (ECHL) and Texas (AHL) are the primary development affiliates of the NHL's Dallas Stars.

The Steelheads are back at Qwest Arena on December 2, 3, and 4 against the rival Alaska Aces. Friday night is another 4-for-$44 promotion, where fans can purchase four tickets, four hot dogs, and four Pepsis for just $44.
