Earlier this year, Kansas City Wizards defender Jimmy Conrad traveled to New York City to appear in a segment on the Food Network's hit show Emeril Live. Both Conrad and Colorado Rapids midfielder Pablo Mastroeni taped a segment with celebrity chef Emeril, which included an abundance of both gourmet food and wine - although Conrad didn't want to disclose the recipe of the day until the show airs.
"Pablo and I had a great time in New York," Conrad said. "To have the opportunity to go on Emeril Live was something that I'll never forget. I've been eagerly anticipating this appearance on television for quite some time."
The show will air Monday, July 2, at 7 p.m. (CT).
Wizards Host D.C. United on Independence Day
Wednesday, July 4, the Wizards host D.C. United at noon CT at Arrowhead Stadium. The game marks the second Gail's Harley Davidson T-Shirt Wednesday of the season. Kansas City will then travel to play the last game of a three-game in six-day stretch Saturday, July 7 at 9:30 p.m. CT at the Los Angeles Galaxy on Metro Sports.
Wizards vs. LA Galaxy Hat Trick Package On Sale Now
In anticipation of the Wizards game against the LA Galaxy on Thursday, Sept. 27, the Kansas City Wizards are offering the LA Galaxy Hat Trick Package. The games offered in the package include the Wizards vs. Colorado Rapids on July 22, the Wizards vs. New England Revolution on August 19, and the Wizards vs. LA Galaxy on Sept. 27. Seat locations for the July 22 and August 19 games will be the best available in the Sideline Reserved section. For the LA Galaxy game, featuring international superstar David Beckham, Landon Donovan, and Cobi Jones, fans will be in front-row Club Level seats.
There are only around 200 tickets available for this package, and seats will fill up fast. Wizards and Metro Sports Announced the 2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City Contest Winners Sunday
The Kansas City Wizards and Metro Sports will announce the Winners of the 2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City contest at halftime of Sunday's game against Toronto FC which starts at 7 p.m. CT and will be broadcast live on Metro Sports.
The winners of the 2007 Miss Soccer Kansas City contest were, like the character in the film, chosen for their confidence, friendliness, love of athletics and willingness to make a difference in Kansas City.
