Kansas City Brigade News Release
The Kansas City Brigade have activated quarterback Quincy Carter from the practice squad. Carter became a member of the Brigade on May 7th. Rookie quarterback D. Bryant will remain the starter for this week's contest against the Chicago Rush. Quarterback Matt Kohn, selected in last summer's disbursal draft, has been placed on recallable waivers.
"Over the course of the season we have obviously been disappointed in our quarterback play, so this move gives us the best chance to win not only this season, but looking forward to next season. Carter has shown great skill and a desire to play since he joined us, and D. earned another start with a good performance last week against one of the league's best teams. Unfortunately there are only so many spots available. Matt (Kohn) worked so hard and did everything asked of him," according to Brad Likens, Executive Director.
On the season, Bryant started erratically, but now has a quarterback rating of 100.5 with a 64% completion percentage, with 32 touchdowns and 8 interceptions. He also has a team high 11 rushing touchdowns. In his lone start, Kohn was 19 for 35 for 278 yards with 4 touchdowns and 2 interceptions in a loss to Grand Rapids. Kohn rushed for a season high 58 yards against the Rampage.
