Kamloops Earns 7-1 Win Over Everett

EVERETT, Wash. - Kamloops routed the Silvertips 7-1 at Angel of the Winds Arena Wednesday night.

Former Silvertip Olen Zellweger scored just 21 seconds into the game, netting his 25th goal of the season in his final regular season game played at Angel of the Winds Arena. Fraser Minten netted his 27th of the year at 16:27 for a 2-0 Kamloops lead after one.

Jakub Demek scored his second goal of the season 1:39 into the second period for Kamloops, with Conor Levis adding a goal to make it 4-0 at 13:54. Eric Jamieson got the Silvertips on the board with his third of the season at 14:14 in the frame.

Kamloops added three more in the third period off the sticks of Matthew Seminoff, Ashton Ferster and Harrison Brunicke for a 7-1 final.

Matthew Kieper saved 28 of 29 in the win for Kamloops. Tyler Palmer stopped 28 of 33 in the loss.

The Silvertips rematch the Blazers in Kamloops Friday night at the Sandman Centre. Live coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on KRKO Radio. They return to Everett Sunday night hosting the Spokane Chiefs at 4 p.m. for Undie Sunday. Fans are encouraged to bring a donation of warm undergarments in both youth and adult sizes to benefit Clothes for Kids. Tickets are available.
