Winners of six straight games, your Saskatoon Blades (43-13-4-1) are one of the hottest teams in the CHL. The Blue and Gold are 10-0-1-0 in their last 11 games, and have secured third place in the Eastern Conference at 91 points with seven games remaining.
The Blades won three games in as many nights over the weekend. First was a 4-1 victory Friday over the Moose Jaw Warriors at SaskTel Centre, followed up by a 5-1 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes the next evening at home as well.
Sunday saw the Bridge City Bunch shut down WHL phenom Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats 5-2 on the road at the Brandt Centre. Alternate captain Trevor Wong recorded a hat-trick and four points while linemate Egor Sidorov scored two goals giving home 40 on the season.
Wednesday was the Blades latest success defeating the Swift Current Broncos 5-3 on home ice. WHL senior Josh Pillar notched a pair of goals in victory while netminder Ethan Chadwick stopped 36 of 39 shots. The Saskatoon, SK. products record improves to 21-8-1-1.
The Blades are on the road Friday for their final game at the Art Hauser Centre this season to face their fierce rival, the Prince Albert Raiders.
